I am looking for Jim’s happy ever after, he came from a breeder and has lived all of his life outdoors .
He had never experienced home comforts or a warm bed until he went into foster .
He is such a loving boy and has adapted so well
He is great with the resident female dogs but due to his previous life he isn’t great with male dogs .

IS THE DOG GOOD WITH PEOPLE? Loves meeting people, likes the attention. Barks when anyone comes into the house, even people he knows.
HAS THE DOG BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CHILDREN? He has been introduced to a 5 year old and a 18 month old. Not keen on 18 month one didn’t like the noise she made. O.k with older one but was not left alone with her. I think he would like older children who could play with him and understand his body language.

IS THE DOG GOOD WITH ALL OTHER DOGS? He has been living with 2 girls and joined into the dynamic of the group immediately.. his playmate is standard poodle .
He isn’t good with male dogs in the home .
HOW DOES THE DOG NORMALLY INTERACT WITH OTHER DOGS? Loves to say hello to every dog we meet when out. Tail always wagging and happy to be sniffed.
HOW DOES THE DOG REACT TO CATS? Not met a cat
IS THE DOG RELIABLY HOUSETRAINED? Almost he had lived outdoors all of his life .
CRATE TRAINED? He can use a crate but has not been in since day 3 in foster
IS THE DOG RELIABLE AT DOORS/GATES OR PRONE TO BOLTING? PLEASE GIVE DETAILS. He goes outside when the door is open but comes in when told.
HOW IS THE DOG ON A LEAD?Like having his harness and lead on he knows it means he is going out. Sometime weaves in front if excited.
RECALL: In the house he comes when called but apart from at the open door has never been off lead so can’t say about recall. I think with training he will pick it up as he is very intelligent
DOES THE DOG HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY? None
IS THE DOG AGGRESSIVE WITH FOOD? TOYS? ANY KIND OF RESOURCE GUARDING? PLEASE GIVE DETAILS. No. He will allow things to be taken out of his mouth

IS THE DOG OBSESSED WITH BALLS? OTHER TOYS? Loves to chew cardboard and tissues.
DOES THE DOG HAVE ANY BAD OR UNUSUAL HABITS? None that have shown up
DOG'S FEEDING ROUTINE: HOW MANY TIMES A DAY IS HE FED? AT WHAT TIMES? HOW MUCH FOOD? CURRENT FOOD? FAVOURITE TREATS? Fed twice a day alongside the other 2 no problems. 8am 8pm. Tinned food Chappie . Every food and treat is his favourite he has an enormous appetite. Must be watched so doesn’t put on too much weight.
WHERE DOES THE DOG SPEND THE DAY? In the house, only room they can’t go in is the dinning room.
WHERE DOES THE DOG SPEND THE NIGHT? In the bedroom with the other dogs
WHERE DOES THE DOG SPEND TIME IF LEFT ALONE IN THE HOUSE? With the other dogs wherever they choose, dog beds and toys throughout

HAPPY TO SLEEP THE DAY AWAY WITH REGULAR EXERCISE. Yes
HOW IS THE DOG WITH GROOMING? DESCRIBE HOW HE COPES WITH BRUSHING, NAILS, BATHING ETC. Loves to be groomed. Let you bath him and cut his hair. Even fell asleep having his feet trimmed
DESCRIBE THE DOG'S BEST QUALITIES, THE THINGS THAT MAKE HIM SPECIAL. Wants to be your friend he’s full of love

WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER DOG THAT HASN'T BEEN COVERED ABOVE? Perfect behaviour at vets stood as if he was being shown let the vet examine him without a murmur. All the staff fell in love with him. As he was so well behaved.
